Decanter - 96
The dense ruby colour immediately suggests good concentration in what was a relatively light vintage. Restrained and citrus scented, notes wander from Earl Grey to bitter orange. Later, pot pourri, dried cherry and civet emerge. Full bodied, this displays mid-palate weight with dense, lavish tannins underlined by crisp acidity. Rather foursquare, it shows great potential for ageing gracefully due to its tight-knit structure and fruit concentration. The oak is well judged.Drinking Window 2021 - 2038
James Suckling - 93
So perfumed and subtle with dried flowers and spices, as well as some cherries and strawberries. Full-bodied and layered with soft, velvety tannins and a pretty finish. Very forward and attractive. From organically grown grapes.
