Full ruby-red. Quite fresh and floral on the nose, with the inky black fruit, menthol and tobacco aromas displaying good precision. Fairly dense and supple for 2013, with medicinal small dark fruit, espresso and dark chocolate flavors complemented by sexy spices and lovely violet lift. Finishes with ripe tannins and lingering notes of violet, earth and black pepper. This is a very good wine for the vintage and will make bistro-goers happy. And it's another success from Bruno Borie of Ducru-Beaucaillou in a really difficult vintage.
