Bright ruby. Spice-accented raspberry and cherry aromas are complicated by suave floral and spice qualities. Seamless, broad and sweet in the mouth, offering juicy red and blue fruit preserve flavors and a hint of allspice. Closes smooth and long, featuring slow-building tannins and lingering spiciness.
The lightest and most approachable of the three cuvées from Domaine Saint Gayan (but still not in bottle), the 2015 Gigondas Origine showcases cherries and red plums, medium to full body and supple tannins, picking up a dusting of cinnamon on the long finish.
